OM GARDEN

OM Garden caters to the health conscious population here in Miami on the highest level. The charming café opened in July 2008, and sits just steps away from the hustle and bustle of Brickell. “OM”, which is commonly chanted during yoga, represents the union of the mind, body, and spirit. OM Garden is not just restaurant, it’s an environmental movement. “Our first priority is towards promoting a more green-friendly environment,” says owner Dionette Kalkhofer.

Om Garden supports a green way of living not only for our health, but as a necessary step towards saving the environment. According to the owner’s of OM Garden, statistics are alarming and the things we do today will have a reaction for generations to come. One of the most important problems facing us today is the loss of rain forests. Cattle farms are one of the biggest contributors to their destruction.

. The menu at OM consists of vegan and raw cuisine, but you would never know the difference when you bit into their Peace Pizza (crispy whole wheat crust covered in a pesto sauce and topped with mushrooms, olives, sun-dried tomato, and cashew cheese). They also make a variety of pizzas, burgers, wraps, and rolls that are all homemade, without using any meat or dairy. Oh, and let’s not forget about deserts. The blueberry-lavender “cheesecake” and cashew-crusted chocolate mousse pies are “to die for” and the best part is their good or you.

Besides offering a wide selection of vegan and raw cuisine, OM Garden also educates the public on living green. Customers can find a variety of products for purchase such as candles, teas and wellness books.
