Caffe Da Vinci By Jennifer Raskin

Love at first sight might be debatable but love at first bite is undeniable at Caffe Da Vinci in Bay Harbour, just two blocks west of the Bal Harbour shops. Romance is alive and well at this lovely Italian eatery which, as the name suggests, depicts a cozy atmosphere accentuated with Leonardo Da Vinci’s works. It’s not only a tribute to Da Vinci’s artistic and inventive abilities in décor but also in the delightful dishes designed by Chef Jose Cadavid.

Since 1995, the multi award-winning Caffe Da Vinci has given its customers a lot to love from the romantic ambience and live music Saturday nights to the fresh made pasta and five-star service. One of the signature dishes here is the absolutely heavenly crabmeat ravioli, plump crab-stuffed ravioli dressed with a creamy lobster sauce. Homemade lasagna is hearty and robust with chunks of perfectly seasoned veal. Rack of lamb with green peppercorn sauce is spicy and cooked to perfection. Among more unique items, there’s the veal ravioli with cherry sauce. The combination of savory meat with the sweetness of cherries is nothing short of pure bliss.

The only way to end such a splendid meal is to try one of the divine desserts that are made fresh here just like the pasta. Award-winning mango cheesecake offers a creamy texture with the sweet and tangy taste of mangos without being overbearing. Espressos, cappuccinos and Irish coffees go well with the dessert selection.

Of course, the food you love at Caffe Da Vinci can be delivered to your door (delivery available from Aventura to North Bay Village) should you choose to stay home with the one you love.
